Ivory Readership Club (IRC) is a Community Based Organization (CBO) registered with the Ministry of Woman Affairs and Social Development Enugu state, Nigeria in 2002. It has the following objectives:- Aims and Objectives To promote the formation and sustenance of good reading culture in schools, colleges, universities, adult literacy centers, distance learning programmes and among the general public. To promote greater understanding among Nigerians by creating an informed citizenry through the development of reading culture. To organize and provide support structures to governments, agencies, communities and associations in setting up, community libraries / resources centers. To source financial and material assistance from governments, agencies, foundations and private individuals whether corporate or otherwise in equipping community libraries / resources centers. To impart ethical and leadership training courses through seminars, conferences, campaigns, workshops, competitions and related programmes towards the realization of the club’s objectives.
