Readership Promotion Seminars

The Ivory Readership Club organizes readership promotion seminars in primary and secondary schools. It is an opportunity that our experts use to interact with the young ones to stimulate their reading habit.

Two times a year the Ivory Readership Club organizes reading picnics.  This programme brings readers together in a relaxed environment thereby making reading pleasurable

Lyrical Verses

We are the initiators and coordinators of Lyrical verses – a monthly session of book readings / reviews, music, folktale rendition etc. This programme is well attended by writers and other creative artists who are able to improve on their writing from the knowledge they garner from the interaction.

This programme, which is transmitted on Radio Nigeria, is organized in conjunction with Radio Nigeria Enugu Music Society of Enugu (MUSE) and TCP Enugu.

Children Readers’ Club

We are the initiators and facilitators of Children Readers’ Club; a programme on reading promotion on the Network service of Nigeria Television Authority. This programme which is meant for children ages 8 to 14 was created to start early to inculcate good reading habit in the leaders of tomorrow. This project of the IRC has been very rewarding. With the target of more than 50 million Children it has attracted positive response from children, parents and teachers from all the nooks and crannies of Nigeria. It has also stimulated the formation of reading clubs in Primary and Secondary Schools.

We have Schools’ chapters of Ivory Readership Club in primary and secondary schools in Enugu State.
